As it turned out, they were not accepted this time. You can’t win ’em all, can you? I’m actually kind of glad. I wouldn’t have made any money considering the time and materials that went into them, and I decided that I really like them. I have them on little tiny easels in various rooms of my house, and I gave one of them (the colorful leaf , top right) to a friend who was quite taken with it. I’ve decided to do more of them to give as Christmas gifts, and I would encourage you to take me up on the 20% off discount I am offering to the first 25 people who take me up on it. These little paintings are 5 x 5 inches, and are so easy to ship, wrap and transport. Surprise someone with a tiny painting of his or her favorite landscape, tree or flower, but hurry, so that I have time to do your custom painting in time for Christmas. This offer is good from now until December 11, or until the first 25 people have made their requests.
This is the first in a series of mini paintings I’m working on for a submission to a gallery here in Indianapolis. They are 5″ x 5″! They will make nice Christmas gifts, and are easy and inexpensive to ship. Mini paintings are a great way to have some original art that is very affordable. This is a photo I took of it on the palette paper I used to mix the paint.
This was just a celebration of summer, last year, when we had such a lovely garden of flowers. My honey has done wonders with the property where we live and it’s become such a fantastic slice of nature in the middle of the city. I love flowers, and try to have them in my office/studio all the time.
