I just finished and signed this 12 x 24″ acrylic on canvas. It’s from a photograph by Ohio artist and photographer Shannon Godby, who has generously given me his permission to use the photo for inspiration. It was fun experimenting with glaze.

I’m excited to say that this painting was accepted for the upcoming RED exhibit at the Raymond James Stutz Gallery in Indianapolis. This my first juried exhibit, and my third exhibit at the Stutz Gallery in downtown Indianapolis. It will be for sale after the exhibit. If you’re in the area, come by on Friday, February 3rd. Sunsets and sunrises are magnificent. They remind us of beginnings and ends, the cycle of life. This was a particularly lovely one that I plan to paint one of these days.
