Hotel Tango, a bar and distillery near historic Fountain Square, which will be a solo exhibit.
IU Methodist Hospital Gallery- starting in August and through September.
If you’re in Indianapolis, please check out these unique and amazing venues.
My friend and fellow Indianapolis artist Kat Silver asked me if I would be interested in doing some collaborations for a local exhibit. I absolutely LOVE her work, so I jumped at the chance. She is a very skilled artist with a wonderful sense of whimsy, so we decided I would do the background landscapes, which are what I do best, and she would finish it with people, animals, etc., depending on what the piece looks like it needs. I can’t wait to see what we come up with. I think my part is finished, and now Kat will add her lighthearted magic!
Here’s the start of part 2:
This has been re-scheduled for June 25th, 2017 from 2:00 -4:00 PM at Acceleration Art and Photography Gallery. You will learn how to do an abstract intuitive painting using colors that represent a memory, a mood or feeling. The cost is $25 per person and includes all materials, wine and beer! Call now and reserve your spot! 317-744-4839
Wow What a great event and what a lovely setting. We had a great turnout for WOIA presents Art of the Ages. If you are ever in Indianapolis, be sure to check out The Athenaeum. The building is stunning and the arts space is just ethereal. I am so honored and thrilled to have some of my paintings there for the month of April.
I am so thrilled to be one of the contributing artists for this event, and I’m hoping to have completed two more pieces before the opening night. If you happen to be in Indianapolis, the Athenaeum is a very cool historic building and worth visiting in its own right. Rejuvenation Indy will have art there as well. Please come check it out. If you can’t make it to the opening reception, the exhibit will be there the whole month of April. I’ll be there with bells on!
Edible Schoolyard is a fantastic program at First Line charter schools in New Orleans. The kids are involved in every level of planning and maintaining the gardens, and the food is prepared at their cafeterias, where young folks interested in the culinary arts can work with local chefs to prepare the foods they have grown and harvested. Their online auction is open for bidding, and there are some fantastic hand painted watering cans for bid, including one by yours truly. Check it out:
Intuitive Abstract painting workshop!
Indy friends, I will be guiding a painting class at the very hip Acceleration gallery on Shelby St., in Fountain Square, on Sunday, April 23, from 2:00-4:00. Wine and beer are included as well as all supplies!! Just show up ready to make a little mess, have some fun, relieve some stress, and take home an abstract painting. The workshop is called Intuitive Abstract painting and I will show you how I completed one of my favorite paintings, Hope – A Tribute to Paris. Cost is $25 per person. It’s a bargain, and even if you think you can’t paint, you will have a blast!
I have just started selling prints of my work on fineartamerica.com and as a new artist, I have an opportunity to sell ten prints of one of my best-loved paintings at a discounted price. Hope – A Tribute to Paris, available in an 8 x 10 canvas, sent right to your door for $50. Check this out:
I’m getting close to finishing this big boy: 30″ x 40″- another one inspired by New Orleans news anchor and photographer John Snell. I hope to have it ready for exhibit at Art of The Ages at The Athenaeum in downtown Indianapolis. The opening reception is tomorrow evening from 6:00-9:00. Come by and say hello!
